In the world of music, sometimes the most cherished treasures are found in unexpected places. Such was the case when my daughter and I stumbled upon a Yamaha PSR-630 keyboard at our local recycling center. Little did we know, this chance encounter would lead to a rewarding journey of restoration and rediscovery. It all began with a simple request from my daughter. To our delight, the responsible manager granted us permission to rescue the neglected instrument.

The cause of the noise was a potentiometer that I simply had to clean. After that, the noise was no longer audible.
